Human vs Ai Design
Let’s call out the elephant in the room shall we?
AI graphic design is everywhere now. If you can use AI well effectly, already pay for the tools that produce the results you need, and don’t require original designs, then you may not need to work with a human graphic artist.
But if you’re still on this page, then maybe you want something more. Because AI can create what you ask for, but not what you mean. That’s where human creativity, intuition, and context comes in.
Many people prefer to work with humans who can interpret their vision in a way that AI can’t give them. Others would prefer to avoid the “AI-generated slop” flooding the internet for their own reasons. That’s where we stand out as the “human in the loop”.
Does this mean that we never use AI ourselves? Of course not!
When the budget is tight, the client has no preference, or is happy with AI generated graphics but lacks the time, skills, or subscriptions to produce quality results, we’ll happily tap into premium AI tools in our tool kit. At times we may use stock photos generated with AI as content filler or background images. We’re also not opposed to leveraging AI tools for branding, or generating rough drafts and idea suggestions.
Our promise is simple: We don’t pass off AI generated content as our own.
When AI content is used in a project, we always disclose which parts are original and human-made, and which components were created with Artificial Intelligence.
It’s all about flexibility. After working extensively with many AI models, generators, and coding bots, our natural tendency is to create things ourselves. After all, if you want it done right…
In the end, you’ll get closer to what you actually envisioned without wasting time settling for “close enough”.
That said, we don’t want to reject the possibilities that an ever improving technology can unlock for ourselves and our clients. When it makes sense to harness these tools, we use our experience and prompt-writing skills to make AI work for our clients. After all, we see AI as a collaborator, not a replacement. It’s a useful tool, but one that still needs a creative mind to help steer it
